Cookie Notice

Last Updated: June 20, 2026

This Cookie Notice explains what cookies and similar technologies Arkvas LLC ("Arkvas"), uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

Cookies and similar technologies may operate across Arkvas-owned subdomains and services, including arkvas.com, account.arkvas.com, and app.arkvas.com. The specific cookies and providers used by Arkvas may change over time as the platform evolves. We will update this policy when material changes occur.

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognize your device, maintain your session, and collect information about how you interact with the platform.

Arkvas may also use related technologies such as local storage, session storage, and similar browser-based storage mechanisms for authentication, security, and platform functionality. These are not cookies in the traditional sense but serve similar purposes and are disclosed here for transparency.

Some cookies and storage mechanisms are set directly by Arkvas; others are set by third-party services we use to operate the platform.

2. Categories of Cookies We Use

Strictly Necessary

These cookies and storage mechanisms are required for the platform to function. They cannot be switched off without breaking core features such as login, checkout, and security verification. No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies, but we disclose them here for transparency.

Supabase — Purpose: Maintains secure authentication and session state for logged-in users, including session tokens stored in local or session storage. Duration: Session or up to 1 hour depending on configuration.

Cloudflare (__cf_bm, cf_clearance) — Purpose: Bot management, security verification, and protection of platform infrastructure. Duration: 30 minutes to 1 year.

Stripe (__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid) — Purpose: Payment security, fraud detection, transaction integrity, checkout session management, and recurring subscription billing session management. Duration: 1 year / 30 minutes respectively.

Analytics

Analytics cookies help us understand how users interact with the platform in aggregate. Analytics information is used to understand platform usage and improve the service. While analytics data is not intended to directly identify users, certain technical identifiers may still be considered personal data under applicable law.

Arkvas may also track aggregate interactions with sponsored placements, including impressions and clicks, using platform-level analytics. This data is collected and reported in aggregate only and is not linked to individual user identities or profiles.

Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_XXXXXX) — Purpose: Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated identifier and tracks session and pageview data. Duration: Up to 2 years.

Arkvas has enabled IP anonymization in Google Analytics. Your full IP address is not stored or shared with Google.

Where required by applicable law, analytics cookies will only be placed after you provide consent through our cookie banner or preference controls. Where consent is not legally required, analytics cookies may be active by default; you may opt out at any time as described in Section 4.

3. What We Do Not Currently Use

As of the Last Updated date above, Arkvas does not currently use:

  • Advertising or targeting cookies
  • Social media tracking pixels
  • Third-party behavioral profiling cookies
  • Remarketing or retargeting tags

If this changes in the future, this Cookie Notice will be updated accordingly before any such cookies are placed.

Arkvas may display sponsored resources, promoted service providers, or sponsored placements within the platform. These sponsorships do not currently rely on third-party behavioral advertising cookies, cross-site tracking technologies, or user profiling. Sponsored content is clearly labeled within the platform and does not influence assessment results, pathway summaries, or educational content.

4. Your Choices and How to Opt Out

Analytics cookies

You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You may also manage analytics preferences through your browser settings.

Cookie Preference Controls

When you first visit the platform, a cookie consent banner will be displayed allowing you to accept or decline analytics cookies. If you wish to change your cookie preferences after your initial visit, you may access the cookie preference controls at any time by clicking the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of the platform. Your updated preferences will take effect immediately. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any analytics processing that occurred before you withdrew consent.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cannot be disabled without affecting platform functionality. Disabling session or authentication storage will prevent you from staying logged in. Disabling Stripe cookies may interfere with completing a purchase.

Global Privacy Control

Arkvas recognizes the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Where technically feasible and as required by applicable law, we treat a GPC signal as a request to opt out of any data sharing that qualifies as a sale or sharing of personal information under applicable state privacy law.

Browser settings

Most browsers allow you to view, manage, block, and delete cookies through their settings. Note that disabling all cookies may affect the functionality of many websites, not just Arkvas. Common paths:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and Other Site Data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and Site Permissions → Cookies and Site Data

5. Third-Party Cookie Policies

Cookies and storage mechanisms set by third-party providers are governed by their own privacy and cookie policies. Arkvas does not control third-party cookie behavior. We encourage you to review the relevant policies:
